Arcom IT E-Shots

This June Arcom IT has celebrated its 15th Birthday. From small beginnings in the Terminal Building at Shoreham Airport, Arcom IT has grown, expanded and merged to become the hefty teenager it is today. Just like a lot of teenagers – Arcom IT stays up late (24hr helpdesk), is always on the phone/ computer and is partial to an afternoon donut!

Disruption after eruption!

Hopefully you were not amongst the tens of thousands of travellers stranded abroad this month due to volcanic ash. Desperate tales of holiday makers hiring cars at hugely inflated prices, circum-navigating Europe on bikes, treading water behind the HMS Albion just to make it back to Blighty flooded the media networks. But if the impact on individuals was tough, imagine the horrendous pressure travel companies were under to assist their customers all over the world! Relocation Relocation

The Sussex Office officially moves on Friday 7th May. We are not laying a trail of breadcrumbs so to avoid any disappointment please do note our new address for your records.

All other contacts including telephone number will remain the same – 0845 241 4123 – and all services will continue to operate as normal.

The move, due to expansion, is not far from our current location. Less than a mile infact! With extra space, plus first class transport and local ammenities, this is certainly a move in the right direction.

GOLDEN DAYS

Although some days it’s hard to believe, spring is officially here and everywhere buds are beginning to grow and hosts of daffodils are waving. But that’s not why Arcom IT are feeling golden.

What would we say to one another if it weren’t for those two little syllables? Well, we might be saying ‘Ahoy Hoy’! It may have been Alexander Graham Bell who invented the telephone but it was Edison who launched us over the initial techno-etiquette hurdle by introducing the most effective way to initiate a telephone conversation.

Okay – so we’re feeling a little smug here at Arcom IT. We don’t like to say ‘we told you so’ but…

January saw possibly the worst snow storms for 30 years and for some lucky (or unlucky depending on your perspective!) people this meant either working from home or not working at all.

Of course those companies who had heeded our warnings in November at the Arcom IT Virtual Desktop Seminar were fully equipped to keep business running smoothly from the comfort and safety of their living rooms. Even here at Arcom IT, engineers were able to work remotely providing the exemplary service our customers are used to.

November has definitely been a month for networking: and not just the computer kind.

Without a doubt the highlight of the last few weeks has been the fantastic football themed Virtual Desktop Seminar that we held at Woking FC on Tuesday 24th over a luxury breakfast.

Who feels they are missing opportunities in the big wide world by having to work in an office everyday?

Who lacks inspiration looking at the same four walls?

Who would like to be able to take their business out to their customer without feeling like you’ve abandoned the ship

The answer is everyone.

It’s been such a busy month that we’re cutting this e-shot very close. Preferably the September E-Shot should go out in September and so, with just mere days to spare here we are with the latest news from Arcom IT.
