Social Responsibility

ArcomIT in the Community

At Arcom IT we have always worked hard to conduct our business in the most ethical way possible, with a broad set of initiatives which make an important contribution to our commitment to sustainability and corporate social responsibility. Driven enthusiastically by its owner and employees, the Company has always donated at least 5% of its profits every year to charities and good causes.
These initiatives are characterized by a strong link with local community projects and stakeholders, and an active involvement with local charities. Since Arcom IT’s growth nationally as well as internationally we are very pleased to be involved with various charities of the whole South of England and Gibraltar.

Charity of the Year
As most of you already know Arcom IT have had the great opportunity to expand our services globally by opening an office in Gibraltar in 2010. Since the launch we are delighted to have seen our businesses going from strength to strength working with a range of well-known established brands. As well as furthering our services we always want to learn, help and contribute to the local community in every way that we can, we are therefore very happy to announce that we have chosen Gibraltar’s Wobbles to be our charity of choice for 2011.

Wobbles helps sick and disabled local children by giving them something that money can’t buy: a smile on their face. Whether it is meeting a treasured role-model, receiving a wonderful gift or visiting a special place, this amazing charity aims to ‘Wobble’ their world and make their dreams come true.
Debbie Garcia, Chair & Founding Trustee, Gibraltar - “2011 has only just began and already we are excited for what the new year has in store for us, thanks to Arcom IT.  Wobbles has been lucky enough to have been elected as Arcom IT’s Charity of the year and we are extremely happy and grateful for their support over the next 12 months.  We at ‘Wobbles’ will now be able to fulfil many dreams of those children in Gibraltar who have been so ill and will benefit tremendously from Arcom IT’s generosity”
Please keep an eye on our monthly newsletters for our latest fundraising activities and to find out how you can get wobbling too.

The Prince’s charity
Arcom IT are thrilled to be working with one of the many Prince’s charities the Mosaic, an outstanding charity founded by the HRH The Prince of Wales. The charity was established to defy the rising concern around the problems that young Muslims face living in poor areas of Britain, with the mission to create opportunities and harness positive thinking. They strive to achieve this for these young people by increasing opportunities within both education and the understanding between people of different backgrounds. The charity has a great team of influential people who actively support the cause including Her Royal Highness Princess Badiya bint El Hassan who are the Chairman of Mosaic UK.
The Prince outlined his motive for setting up Mosaic in his 2008 speech - "The objective has been quite simple and straightforward: to extend a helping hand to those members of our Muslim communities who need it, and together with our other diverse communities, about whom I happen to care a great deal."
Due to Mosaic’s global expansion of new branches including UAE and Bahrain, there has been a great need to continuously update the website with additional information but also the ability to navigate the number of expected users more efficiently which the old website hasn’t been able to manage.                  Arcom IT are therefore delighted to be set the challenge to bring out a more up to date Mosaic website in 2011 with a fresh  IT management system adapted to create more efficiency , and so far we are please to hear that Mosaic has been happy with our progress:
National Operations Director Jonathan Freeman - “we are extremely grateful for Arcom IT’s support.”
